<br />~ Jim Ellison, 1286 Piper Lane, Eugene, to a term ending 1/01/89; <br />Hugh Prichard, 2671 Emerald, Eugene, to a term ending 1/01/89; <br />, ~ Gerry Gaydos, 2227 Fairmount, Eugene, to a term ending 1/01/88, <br />~ with the stipulation that Mr. Gaydos resign from his position <br />on MAPAC. <br /> <br />Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously, 7:0. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERVIEWS AND BALLOTING FOR DOWNTOWN COMMISSION <br /> <br />The following people were interviewed: <br /> <br />7:00 p.m. Don Genasci <br />7:10 p.m. James McCoy <br />7:20 p.m. Roger Neustadter <br />7:30 p.m. Jeff Reingold <br /> <br />The candidates were asked a series of questions by members of the <br />Council. Following the interviews, each councilor had the opportunity <br />to state his or her views regarding the needs of the Commission, the <br />challenges posed by its work program, and the qualifications of the <br />respective candidates. <br /> <br />Following that discussion, Councilor Holmer moved, seconded by <br />Councilor Schue, that the three incumbent candidates (i .e., Genasci, <br />McCoy, and Neustadter) each be appointed to serve an additional term, <br />ending 12/30/88. Further discussion ensued. The motion passed <br />4It unanimously, 7:0. <br /> <br />The Council briefly discussed the need for more frequent and improved <br />communications between the Council and its various advisory boards <br />and commissions.
