Obie. <br /> <br />I. ITEMS FROM MAYOR AND eOUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AGENDA <br />ADJUSTMENTS <br /> <br />A. Bike Racks at Hult Center <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ms. Bascom said wooden bike racks have been installed at the Hult Center by <br />the Support Hult Organization (SHO). She asked the Mayor to send a letter of <br />appreciation to SHO for the donation. <br /> <br />B. Downtown Parking <br /> <br />Ms. Ehrman will attend a meeting on downtown parking tonight. She welcomes <br />comments from other councilors. <br /> <br />e. Intergovernmental Efficiencies <br /> <br />Mayor Obie met with Mike Williams, President of the 4-J School Board, and <br />discussed efficiencies in such things as the maintenance of adjacent <br />properties. Mr. Williams asked for an opportunity to inform the council of <br />the growth in community schools. <br /> <br />Ms. Wooten is the liaison from the council to the eommunity Schools <br />eoordinating eommittee. She said the committee made a presentation to the <br />council in the fall. Mayor Obie was absent that day. <br /> <br />Mayor Obie indicated he will respond in writing and can suggest that <br />Mr. Williams express his personal feelings about community schools in writing. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />D. Future eounci1 Meetings <br /> <br />Mayor Obie suggested the regular council meeting of February 25 be cancelled <br />and a dinner/work session be scheduled so that the council can work on the <br />Capital Improvement Program and the Eugene Agenda. He suggested scheduling a <br />public hearing on the Eugene Agenda (March 4) and then scheduling a council <br />meeting to consider its adoption at a later time (March 13).
