At his request, Ms. Bascom <br />discussed the proposal. Discussing the history of the proposal, Ms. Bascom <br />said she had met with the councilors on the Joint Parks Committee and the <br />staff and had discussed the matter with other councilors. She had <br />incorporated their suggestions into the proposal. The commission would have <br />eleven members. She suggested it review ordinances and the City's history <br />concerning street trees and gateways and, after publicizing the information, <br />have an all day public hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason said a special task team would be appointed from the Planning, <br />Public Works, and Parks departments to support the commission if it is <br />approved by the council. <br /> <br />II. ROUTINE ITEM FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL: CITY COUNCIL LEGISLATIVE <br />SUBCOMMITTEE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 15, 1985 (minutes distributed) <br /> <br />Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Holmer, to approve the <br />Legislative Subcommittee minutes of February 15, 1985.
