Obie. <br /> 1. ITEMS FROM MAYOR AND COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AGENDA <br /> ADJUSTMENTS <br /> A. Town Hall Meetings <br /> Councilor Miller commended the staff for their support in conducting the Town <br /> '. Hall Meetings, specifically the slide shows and staff presentations. <br /> B. Wading Pool s <br /> Councilor Ehrman asked staff to respond to the issue of why some City wading <br /> pools had not been filled. <br /> C. Commendation of Mayor Obie <br /> Councilor Rutan commended Mayor Obie for his work in attracting the Van Duyn <br /> Chocolate Company to Eugene. He acknowl edged the coopera ti on of Ca thy Sri ner, <br /> Doug Eveleth, and other staff, but he stressed Mayor Obie1s leadership in the <br /> effort. Councilors Hansen and Holmer also voiced their appreciation of Mayor <br /> Obi e' s efforts. <br /> D. Request for Sta ff Study <br /> Councilor Hansen stated that Lane County Commissioner Ivey had asked the City <br /> to study whether a woman living on Beacon Drive who has an unusable well could <br /> be serviced by the City. He sa i d tha t a Ci ty wa ter 1 i ne is 1 oca ted on Beacon <br /> Drive. City Manager Micheal Gleason responded that staff would study the pro- <br /> blem. <br /> E. Complaint Regarding Median Strip <br /> Councilor Bascom said she had received a complaint regarding the median strip <br /> e at the intersection of Coburg and Willakenz;e roads.
