Obie. <br /> I. ITEMS FROM MAYOR AND COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AGENDA <br /> ADJUSTMENTS <br /> A. Great American Smokeout <br /> Mr. Miller extended best wishes to Mayor Obie and Councilor Wooten on their <br />e quests as part of the Great American Smokeout. <br /> B. Letter to Staff on Relocation of LTD Bus Stop <br /> Mr. Rutan requested that staff draft a letter to Bob Noble of the Public Works <br /> Department, indicating his appreciation for efforts by staff and by Lane Tran- <br /> sit District in following up a citizen request to relocate a bus stop in his <br /> ward. <br /> c. Carroll Fentress <br /> Mr. Rutan noted the unexpected death last week of Carroll Fentress, an active <br /> participant in Eugene governrnent, adding that Mr. Fentress would be greatly <br /> mi ssed. <br /> Ms. Schue echoed Mr. Rutanls comments concerning the loss to the community of <br /> Carroll Fentress. She noted that she especially would miss his advice and <br /> counsel as chair of Crest Drive Neighbors. Mayor Obie said he had sent a <br /> sympathy note and added that one would be sent from the entire council. <br /> D. Hult Center Concerts <br /> Ms. Bascom noted that a series of three free concerts were scheduled at the <br /> Hult Center for the Performing Arts on Thursdays at noon.
