<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br /> <br />Eugene City Council <br />Council Chamber--Eugene City Hall <br /> <br />May 13, 1991 <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: Shawn Boles, Ruth Bascom, Debra Ehrman, Bobby Green, <br />Randy MacDonald, Paul Nicholson, Kaye Robinette. <br /> <br />COUNCILORS ABSENT: Roger Rutan. <br /> <br />The adjourned meeting of May 8, 1991, of the Eugene City Council was called <br />to order by His Honor Mayor Jeff Miller. <br /> <br />I. PUBLIC FORUM <br /> <br />Members of the Cascade Chorus serenaded the council and announced that, in <br />recognition of Mayas Harmony Month, there would be a celebration at the Hult <br />Center on May 18. <br /> <br />II. CONSENT CALENDAR: AMENDMENTS TO METROPOLITAN WASTEWATER COMMISSION <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Mr. Boles moved, seconded by Ms. Ehrman, to amend the Metro- <br />politan Wastewater Commission Intergovernmental Agreement <br />regarding sewer service in Eugene and Springfield, which will <br />allow extension of sewer service to the River Road and Santa <br />Clara areas. Roll call vote; the motion carried unanimously, <br />7:0. <br /> <br />III. SECOND READING: ORDINANCE CONCERNING TCI CABlEVISION, INC. <br /> <br />City Manager Mike Gleason introduced the topic and said that Randy Kolb, <br />Information Services Director, was present to answer questions. <br /> <br />CB 4300--An ordinance granting to TCI Cablevision of Oregon, <br />Inc., a renewal of its non-exclusive franchise for <br />the operation of a cable communications system only. <br /> <br />Mr. Boles moved, seconded by Ms. Ehrman, that the bill, with <br />unanimous consent of the council, be read the second time by <br />council bill number only, and that enactment be considered at <br />this time. <br /> <br />MINUTES--Eugene City Council <br /> <br />May 13, 1991 <br /> <br />Page 1 <br />
