APPROVAL OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> Linda Lynch, Intergovernmental Relations Division Director, said that the <br /> council is asked to approve the minutes of the Intergovernmental Relations <br /> (IGR) Committee meeting of August 20, 1992, which included a series of commit- <br /> tee recommendations for City Council positions on upcoming statewide ballot <br /> measures. She reminded the council that approval of the minutes will consti- <br /> tute a formal action by the full council adopting these positions. <br /> Mr. Boles moved, seconded by Mr. Nicholson, to approve the Inter- <br /> governmental Relations Committee minutes of August 20, 1992, with <br /> e the exception of the committee's recommendation with respect to <br /> Ballot Measure 7. <br /> Councilors expressed interest in discussing several of the IGR committee's <br /> recommendations. Mr. Boles withdrew his motion and suggested a straw vote be <br /> taken on each ballot measure. <br /> Mr. MacDonald asked that the council support Measure 1, saying this would <br /> allow G.O. bonding for State parks. The intent is to support the revenue <br /> stream back to the parks through the fees generated by the facilities. The <br /> committee's recommendation is that the council take no position. <br /> Ms. Bascom asked the council to support Measure 2, allowing the Highway Trust <br /> Fund to be used for State parks. The committee's recommendation is that the <br /> council oppose the measure.
