<br />. <br /> <br />- <br />\: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br />EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br />May 3, 1976 <br /> <br />Special meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon, was called for the <br />purpose of selecting finalists for the vacancy on the Planning Commission. The special <br />session was called to order by Council President Gus Keller at 12:00 Noon on Monday, <br />May 3, 1976, at city hall in the McNutt Room with the following council members present: <br />Eric Haws, Neil Murray, Wickes Beal, Ray Bradley and Edna Shirey. Torn Williams and <br />Bill Hamel were absent. <br /> <br />Selection of Planning Commission Finalists <br /> <br />Council President Keller suggested limiting finalists to six or eight in order to allow <br />time for goodinterviews. Mr. Keller noted receiving one application after the deadline - <br />for Robert M. Robertson. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to allow the application to be accepted. Council <br />members then each selected S applicants by secret ballot. Those applicants receiving <br />votes were: Lloyd A. DuVall, Margaret M. Steveson, James B. Lemert, Eleanor Mulder, <br />Alison G. Brown, Randall E. Thwing, Adrienne D. Lannom, Nancy Hindman, Thorn Chambliss, <br />Craig R. Mahaffey, Pat Munkres, Richard J. Reedal, Elizabeth Heath, and John J. ~lonley. <br /> <br />Mr. Murray moved seconded by Mrs. Beal to accept as finalists those applicants <br />having two or more votes. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Finalists selected were: <br /> <br />Margaret M. Steveson <br />Eleanor Mulder <br />Adrienne D. Lannom <br />Nancy Hindman <br />Thorn Chambliss <br />Pat Munkres <br />E Ii zabeth Heath <br /> <br />341 W. 19th <br />2775 Emerald <br />310 E. 14th <br />2210 Sandy Drive <br />1 S 10 Mi 11 <br />2104 Dewey Street <br />2087 Law Lane <br /> <br />It was the consensus to schedule IS-minute interviews for the finalists for Thursday, <br />May 6, starting at 5 p.m. in the McNutt Room. After discussion, it was Council consensus <br />that the finalists would be notified that they would be asked the following two questions: <br /> <br />1. What do you feel are the major planning issues facing Eugene? <br />2. Comment briefly on the 1990 Plan.
