<br />- <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br />EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br />February 8, 1978 <br /> <br />Adjourned meeting from February 1, 1978, of the City Council of the City <br />of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller at <br />11:30 a.m., King's Table, Oakway Mall, on February 8, 1978, with the following <br />Councilors present: D. W. Hamel, Tom Williams, Eric Haws, Jack Delay, Scott <br />Lieuallen, Brian Obie, and Betty Smith. Councilor Ray Bradley was absent. <br /> <br />I. Items from Mayor and Council <br /> <br />A. Council Tours--Mr. Hamel expressed a desire for Council to take <br />more tours, which would be beneficial to Council action for various <br />discussion items. <br /> <br />B. Panhandle Policy--Mr. Haws said, in connection with taking tours, <br />his ward had some very good examples of the effects of panhandle <br />policy. Manager noted the panhandle policy review was scheduled for <br />next Wednesday, February 15, and possibly a tour could be arranged. <br /> <br />C. Appointments to Boards and Commissions for 1978 <br />Mayor Keller distributed a memo 2/1/78 for the following appointments: <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Boxing Commission: Hugh Luby, 1730 West 28th, reappointment for <br />term ending 1/1/79; Donald Barker, 2065 Law Lane, reappointment for <br />term ending 1/1/79; Dr. Luis Bianchiani, 550 Fair Oaks, reappointment <br />for term ending 1/1/79; Dr. Robert Glass, 2186 University, reappoint- <br />ment for term endi ng 1/1179. <br /> <br />BUilding/Housing Board of Appeals: Gene Schaudt, 2585 Charnel ton <br />Street, 5-year term ending 1/1/83. <br /> <br />Gaming Commission: Lieutenant Don Lonnecker, 201 East 39th, <br />reappointment for two-year term ending 1/1/80; John Langan, 2775 <br />Filmore, reappointment for two-year term ending 1/1/80. <br /> <br />Garbag/~ Board: Wallace Swanson, 140 Coachman Drive, reappointment <br />for onl~-year term ending 111179; Fred Farrand, 888 West 8th, reappoint- <br />ment for one-year term ending 1/1/79. <br /> <br />Masonry Board: David Carmiencke, 2110 East 17th, reappointment for <br />three-Jear term ending 1/1/81. <br /> <br />Mechanical Board: B.
