<br /> M I NUT E S <br />- EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br /> September 12, 1979 <br /> Adjourned meeting from September 10, 1979, of the City Council of the City of <br /> Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller September 12, <br /> 1979, 11:45 a.m., Council Chamber, with the following Councilors present: <br /> Jack Delay, Betty Smith, D. W. Hamel, Scott Lieuallen, Eric Haws, Brian Obie, <br /> Gretchen Miller, and Emily Schue. <br /> I. ITEMS FROM MAYOR AND COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS AGENDA ADJUSTMENTS <br /> A. Revenue Task Force Alternates <br /> Mr. Obie wondered about the policy on alternates serving on the <br /> Revenue Task Force. Mayor Keller clarified that a Councilor can be <br /> his/her representative's alternate. <br /> B. OLCC Memo <br /> Mr. Delay referred to a memo received recently on a new Dispenser <br /> Class C license. He wondered what the City's responsibilities would <br /> be on this particular license. <br />e It was understood that staff would review and bring back clarification <br /> of the memo. <br /> C. Employment Training Advisory Committee Reappointments <br /> The Manager reported that as Jonathan West is no longer on the LCC <br /> Board, he is not eligible to continue on the committee as representing <br /> education. In addition, the remaining members' terms expire <br /> September 30, 1979, and should be reappointed since they have served <br /> very short terms. <br /> Mr. Delay moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to approve reappointment <br /> of Irv Fletcher, Rosemary Batori, Ray McIver, and Betty Smith, <br /> terms expiring September 30, 1980, and to advertise for 30 days <br /> for a replacement for Mr. West's position. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> D. Room Tax Committee Appointment <br /> Manager reported that Mrs. Fulbright's term is expiring and it is <br /> not known whether she wishes to continue. In addition, there are no <br /> applications on file naming the Room Tax Committee as the applicant's <br /> first choice. It was understood that staff would check with Mrs. <br /> Fulbright to see if she wishes to be reappointed and bring an answer <br />e back to the next City Council meeting. <br /> 9/12/79--1 <br /> 507 <br />
