'..' , M I NUT E S e~ EUGENE CITY COUNCIL December 19, 1979 Adjourned meeting from December 12, 1979, of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller at 11:45 a.m. December 19, 1979, Council Chamber, with the following Councilors present: Betty Smith, D. W. Hamel, Brian Obie, Gretchen Miller, and Emily Schue. Councilors Jack Delay, Eric Haws, and Scott Lieuallen were absent. I. ITEMS FROM MAYOR AND COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AGENDA ADJUSTMENTS A. Council Interviews--Manager reminded Councilors of a 4 p.m. meeting today to interview finalists for appointment to the Planning Commission, the Joint Housing Committee, and the Community Development Committee. B. Keith Martin Farewell Reception--Manager announced that a farewell reception for Keith Martin would be held on December 20 in the McNutt Room from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Mr. Martin will be leaving the City to join the City Attorney's Office. e II. ROUTINE ITEMS FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL A. A rove Council Minutes of December 5, 1979, and December 12, 1979 Minutes distributed Ms. Miller mentioned that, in the December 5 minutes, her name should read Ms. Miller, not Mrs. Miller. Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to approve Council minutes of December 5, 1979, as corrected, and approve minutes . of December 12, 1979, as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. B. Payment of Bills and Claims (distributed to Councilors) Res. No. 3293--authorizing payment of bills and claims for the period December 10, 1979, to December 19, 1979, was read by number and title. Ms. Smi th moved, seconded by Mr. Hame 1, to adopt the resolution. Ro 11 ca 11 vote. Motion carried unanimously. e 12/19/79--1 1072- ---- ....~_...
