Appointments--Eugene Commission on the Rights of Women Mr. Henry stated that Monica Kirk, 5124 Royal Avenue, has been recommended to fill the unexpired term of Sarah Lichtenstein to the Commission on the Rights of Women for the term ending January 1, 1982. Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Lieuallen, to appoint Monica Kirk to the Commission on the Rights of Women to fill the unexpired term of Sarah Lichtenstein ending January 1, 1982. Mr. Delay noted that Ms. Lichtenstein has done a very good job and requested that a letter be sent to her, thanking her for her contribu- tion to the Women1s Commission. Ms. Smith noted agreement. Roll call vote~ motion carried unanimously. II. ROUTINE ITEMS FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL A. Approval of Council Minutes of April 30, 1980. Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Lieuallen, to approve council minutes of April 30, 1980. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. B. Segregation of Assessments 1. Located at the northeast corner of Royal Avenue and Williams Street; applicant: James Thien (SE 80-4) Mr. Henry noted that approval is recommended. Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Lieuallen, to approve segregation of assessments as noted. Roll call vote: motion carried unanimously. C. EWEB Resolution (Map distributed) Res. No. 3361--A resolution authorizing vacation of a two-foot wide Eugene Water & Electric Board easement located near West 24th Place and Willamette Street (Lot 10, Block 4, Amon Mennes Addition to Eugene) Mr. Henry noted that all is in order and approval is recommended. Ms. Smith moved. seconded by Mr. Lieuallen, to adopt the resolution. Roll call vote~ motion carried unanimously. D. Call for Public Hearing (Memo distributed) Call for public hearing for May 27, 1980; re: consideration of recommendation for permanent closure of Highland Oaks Drive, west of Trillium Street. 5/14/80--3
