No. 3395--A resolution authorizing alley paving between 7th Avenue <br /> and. 8th Avenue from Washington Street to Lawrence Street <br /> (1787) . <br /> Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Lieuallen, to adopt the resolution. <br /> Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> III. 1978-79 EQUAL OPPORTUNITY REPORT--HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSIONS/COUNCIL <br /> REVIEW (memo and individual commissions' reports distributed) <br /> Mr. Henry introduced Baruch Fischhoff, Human Rights Council, to make a presenta- <br /> tion. <br /> Mr. fischhoff stated that one of the jobs of the Human Rights Council is to <br /> advise the City on human rights issues that arise within the City and City <br /> government. One annual task is to review the City's Equal Opportunity/Affirma- <br /> tive Action Report to make sure that the City's personnel pol-icies promote <br /> equality in hiring practices, and ensure good personnel policies. The Equal <br /> Opportunity Report and the Affirmative Action Program are to make certain that <br /> civil rights are not violated.
