, I
.
The council could be accommodated either way. Mr. Delay stated that a group
discussion would be a constructive exercise and, if it could not occur during
the goals session~ that it should occur another time. Mayor Keller noted the e
council should reach consensus regarding inclusion or not before adjourning from
this meeting. Ms. Smith stated that she would like to see this item included.
Mayor Keller noted that it could be scheduled into the goals session. Council
consensus was to have staff schedule this item on the goals session agenda. -
C. Tri-Agency Task Force Report
Mr. Delay asked if these results were what Mr. Henry had expected. Mr. Henry
stated that this report had gone further than he had contemplated. This defined
the problems~ made recommendations~ and contained financial information. Work
done by this task force should not pre-empt the work done by the current committee
of the jurisdictions. The County position is the one that is reflected.
Mr. Delay stated that this recommendation came from the County and that is
ironic since they are the only jurisdiction not supporting the budget this year.
He felt that this is a paper solution and that the task force should still
pursue defining the kind of program desired. Mr. Lieuallen stated that he has
not reviewed the report but wondered who was on the task force. Ms. Schue
responded that she and Councilor Miller have only met once with staff. Mr.
Lieuallen asked if the report reflects the current basic task force's position.
Ms. Schue indicated that she had not read the report yet. Mr. Delay stated that
this was to have been an intergovernmental report completed by the three
administrators. It did not remain high enough priority for all jurisdictions so
it ended up being a report from only Lane County.
D.
