<br /> CB 2227--An ordinance authorizing rezoning from C-2 Community Commercial .' <br /> District to R-3 Multiple-Family Residential District for property <br /> located on the south side of 5th Awenue between Adams and Monroe <br /> streets. <br /> Ms. Snith moved, seconded by Mr. Lieua11en, that findings supporting <br /> . the rezoning as set forth i.n Planning Commission staff notes and <br /> minutes of October 7, 1980, be adopted by reference thereto; that <br /> the bill be read the second time by council bill number only, with <br /> unanimous consent of the council; and that enactment be considered <br /> at th i s time. Property located on the east side of Waite Street south of Elmira <br /> Road from RA Suburban Residential District to M-2 Light Industrial <br /> District and a change in sign district from Residential to Indus- <br /> trial (Cascade Plating Company) (Z 80-26) (map distributed) <br /> Mr. Henry explained that the application was unanimously approved at the . <br /> October 7, 1980, Planning Commission meeting. He introduced Jim Croteau, <br /> Planning Department. <br /> Mr. Croteau noted that this rezoning is being requested by the Cascade Plating <br /> Company and explained that the properties to the north are slated to be part of <br /> the Roosevelt exten,sion and floodway (east-west direction). Properties to the <br /> south are industrial in nature. The M-2 properties on the north of Cross Street <br /> are industrial and single-family. The area is zoned industrial in the Metropol- <br /> itan General Plan. It was delineated by the Roosevelt Boulevard extension. <br /> Mr. Delay asked if the extension would affect this property. Mr. Croteau felt <br /> it would not. <br /> No ex parte contacts or conflicts of interest were noted. Staff notes and <br /> minutes were entered into the record.
