She feels his appointment should be continued so that <br /> this will fit with the Federal cycle. Ms. Wooten added that she was not aware <br /> of the application deadline and asked if it could be extended for the Citizen <br /> Involvement Committee and the Planning Commission until November 30th. <br /> Mr. Obie movedt seconded by Ms. Millert to reappoint Alan Gartent <br /> 119 North Adamst to the Community Development Committee for a term <br /> ending January It 1985. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> Council consensus was to allow applications to continue to be taken for the <br /> Citizen Involvement Committee and Planning Commission until November 30t 1981. <br /> Ms. Freedman stated that the council could ballot today on the Joint Housing <br /> Committee and determine interview times. <br /> M. Meeting Schedule <br /> Ms. Freedman listed the items that have been tentatively scheduled for the <br /> December 14t 1981t City Council agenda. Since it is a lengthy listt staff <br /> recommendation is to consider holding a special meeting on December 7t 1981. <br /> Council discussed this situation. Mayor Keller noted that staff should schedule <br /> a special City Council meeting December 7t 1981t unless the council decides <br /> otherwise. <br /> N. Eugene Hilton/Eugene Private Industry Council Agreement <br />e Mr. Gleason stated that part of the Economic Diversification Program is the <br /> destination point programt specifically CETA/Hilton. There has been an orienta- <br /> tion session with over 750 individualst out of which finalists were selected to <br /> be enrolled in a training program geared toward working at the Hilton. A memo <br /> was distributed. <br /> O. Agenda Adjustment <br /> Mr. Gleason stated that the staff recommendation is to pull Item V from the <br /> agenda since Dave Radcliff is unavailable today. <br /> P. Further Discussion on Jefferson Pool <br /> Ms. Wooten stated that in regard to Jefferson Poolt the memo states it is too <br /> early to determine whether the bubble can be repaired on Jefferson Pool. <br /> Ernie Drapelat Parks and Recreationt stated that at the Joint Parks Committee <br /> meeting this morningt it was decided that either the pool bubble should be <br /> repaired or replaced. If it is repairedt there is the chance that it may not <br /> last much longer since it has gone beyond its life expectancy anyway. The <br /> insurance carrier has stated that we may have the option to repair or replace <br /> the bubble. The Joint Parks Committee unanimously voted to replace the blower. <br /> It would add greatly to the usability of the pool if the bubble and the blower <br /> units were replaced. Greg Paget City Manager's Officet is checking out the <br /> energy economics of bubble replacements.
