<br />15. Low-Density Residential Area <br /> <br />This area shall be recognized as a low-density residential area. The City <br />shall explore methods of encouraging an increase in residential density <br />yet maintaining the character of the area. <br /> <br />The City shall encourage block planning, infilling, and shared housing, in <br />this area. Access to housing units off of alleys shall be accommodated <br />when not in conflict with other policies and goals. <br /> <br />The City shall encourage the rehabilitation of the existing housing stock <br />through both public and private reinvestments. <br /> <br />Section 4. Subsection (17) of Section 9.9580 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is <br />amended to provide: <br /> <br />9.9580 <br /> <br />Jefferson/Far West Refinement Plan Policies. <br /> <br />(17) Land Use Element, Jefferson, Residential Areas, Low-Density <br />Residential Area. This area shall be recognized as a low-density <br />residential area. Except as amended in Sections 2 and 3 of this Ordinance, all other <br />provisions of the Jefferson-Far West Refinement Plan as adopted by Resolution No. <br />3739 on January 12, 1983, and amended by Ordinance No. 20180 on November 22, <br />1999, remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 6. The findings set forth in Exhibit C attached hereto are adopted as <br />findings in support of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 7. The City Recorder, at the request of, or with the concurrence of the <br />City Attorney, is authorized to administratively correct any reference errors contained <br />herein or in other provisions of the Eugene Code, 1971, to the provisions added, <br />amended or repealed herein. <br /> <br />Section 8. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this <br />Ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent <br />jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent <br />provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions hereof. <br /> <br />Ordinance - 2 <br />
