The following applicant was invited to interview for appointment to the Eugene-Springfield <br />Metropolitan Partnership: <br /> <br /> Justin Whitney <br /> <br />Ms. Taylor welcomed Mr. Whitney to his scheduled interview. Councilors present introduced <br />themselves to Mr. Whitney. Ms. Taylor explained that the interview would last 15 minutes and the <br />councilors would ask Mr. Whitney a series of questions; each candidate for the position would be <br />asked the same questions. She indicated that absent members of the council would have tape <br />recordings of the interviews and copies of candidates' applications made available to them and <br />the council would make its decision the following week. <br /> <br />Councilors posed the following questions to Mr. Whitney: <br /> <br />1 .Why did you apply for the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Partnership and what do you hope <br /> to contribute? <br /> <br />2.A) In your opinion, what challenges face business in the Eugene-Springfield area? <br /> B) Which of these do you consider to be the most important issue, and why? <br /> <br />3.The Metro Partnership is involved with businesses interested in locating in the Eugene- <br /> Springfield area. What criteria do you think is important to consider when addressing <br /> business growth in the metro area? <br /> <br />4.Do you have any questions of us? Is there anything you'd like to add? <br /> <br />The following applicant was invited to interview for appointment to the Budget Committee: <br /> <br /> Michael Caprai <br /> <br />Ms. Taylor welcomed Mr. Caprai to his scheduled interview. Councilors present introduced <br />themselves to Mr. Caprai. Ms. Taylor explained that the interview would last 15 minutes and the <br />councilors would ask Mr. Caprai a series of questions; each candidate for the position would be <br />asked the same questions.
