F. Section 5.005 of the Eugene Code adopts the provisions of ORS Chapters 801 <br />and 810 and establishes that violations thereof shall constitute an offense against the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Consistent with ORS 810.180, the City of Eugene establishes a designated <br />speed of 20 MPH, five MPH lower than the statutory speed of 25 MPH, on local streets (i.e. not <br />collector streets or arterial streets) in "residence districts' as defined by ORS 801.430 and <br />810.180(12), per EC 5.005. <br />Section 2. Per ORS 810.180, the designated speed established by this Ordinance shall <br />take effect on a segment of a local street upon the City's removal of any 25 MPH signs and <br />installation of 20 MPH signs on that street segment.
