<br />RESOLUTION NO. 4629 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EUGENE-SPRINGFIELD <br />FIVE YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR HOUSING AND <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR SUBMISSION TO THE <br />FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN <br />DEVELOPMENT (HUD). <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br /> <br />A. The Cities of Eugene and Springfield have formed a consortium in order to be eligible as an <br />entitlement community to receive HOME Investment Partnership funds. Preparation of a <br />Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development is a federal requirement in order for <br />local entitlement jurisdictions to receive housing and community development block grant funding. <br /> <br />B. The Cities of Eugene and Springfield have jointly prepared a Consolidated Plan for Housing <br />and Community Development in order to met that federal requirement, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />C. Public hearings were held to receive testimony on the draft Consolidated Plan by <br />representatives of the Eugene and Springfield City Councils, Eugene and Springfield CDBG <br />committees, the Lane County Human Services Commission, and Housing Policy Board, in June, <br />1999 and April, 2000. <br /> <br />D. The City Council has reviewed and considered the Consolidated Plan attached as Exhibit A <br />hereto, on April 24, 2000. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a Municipal <br />Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Based on the above findings, which are adopted herein, and the hearings held <br />thereon, the Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development attached as Exhibit A <br />hereto, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />The foregoing resolution adopted the 24th day of April, 2000. <br /> <br />!J:.:de! /J' ? <br /> <br />Resolution <br />
