v <br />~RDiNANCE N0. 1~,7 L ~ <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR PAVING, STORM AND SANITARY <br />SEWERS TN CRENSHAW STREET FROM DEBRTCK, 1900-FEET TO APPROXIMATELY <br />To TOP OF GILLESPTE BUTTE; AMENDING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL ATTACHED <br />TO ORDINANCE N0. 19683; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />On April 9, 1990, Ordinance No. 19683 was enacted levying an assessment <br />against the properties listed on the Assessment Rol 1 attached thereto for paving, <br />storm and sanitary sewers in Crenshaw Street from DeBrick Road, 1900-feet to <br />approximately to top of Gillespie Butte. <br />Included in th-e Assessment Roll attached to Ordinance No. 19683 was an <br />assessment in the amount of $14,391.80 designated as account number 890029- <br />0040, 0050 and 0060. Notice thereof was provided the presumed owners of retard, <br />Bedacht, Manfred. <br />Subsequent to the adoption of Ordinance No. 19683, the finance officer has <br />been advised that the subject property was assessed as three ~3} lots which <br />included a flag Iot} as was indicated on an approved but unrecorded land <br />partition file with Lane County. Because of this faulty legal description of <br />the property assessed under account $90029-0040, 0050 and 0060, an amendment to <br />the original assessment is necessary. <br />Notice of the new proposed assessments specified in this ordinance and an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon has been provided the owner of the amended tax <br />lot as required by Sections 7.185 and 1.187 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />The allocation of the new proposed assessment for this tax Iot will not <br />affect the amounts levied against other properties included on the Assessment <br />roll attached to Ordinance No. 19683. <br />Section 7.230 of the Eugene Code, 1911 allows to the Council to amend <br />assessments when there is an error in the calculation of an assessment.
