ORDINANCE NO. / ~l 7 3 I~ <br />AN ORDINANCE ADAPTING THE EUGENE AIRPORT <br />MASTER PLAN; AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. <br />3348. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds as follows: <br />1. On February 25,19$4 the Eugene City Council adopted Resolution No. 3348 <br />which approved and adopted the Master Plan far Mahlon Sweet Field. <br />2. Because of changing conditions, new technology and different pra~ect needs, <br />the City of Eugene hired Aviation Planning Associates, inc. to prepare a new airport <br />master plan. <br />3. Aviation Planning Associates, inc, worked with an Airport Advisory <br />Committee and a technical staff committee. A draft plan was prepared, and several ublic <br />P <br />workshops were held on the draft plan. The draft plan was reviewed by the Lane Caun <br />. ~' <br />and Eugene Planning Comm~ssrons on September 18, 1994. The Lane County Board of <br />Commissioners approved the Eugene Airport Master Plan by Lane County ordinance No. <br />PA 986 enacted an actober 24, 1994 after conducting a public hearing thereon. <br />4. Fallowing adoption of the Eugene Airport Master Plan by the City Council, <br />a number of textual and diagram amendments to the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan <br />Area General Plan will be initiated. These include diagram changes to expand the Public <br />Land designations far properties around the airport to include land targeted in the Air ort <br />... p <br />Master Plan for acqu~s~t~on. This change of des~gnat~on w~,l require a Statewide Plannin <br />. g <br />Goal 2 except~an to Statewide Planning goal 3. <br />5. When these Metropolitan Plan amendments have been enacted, the Eugene <br />Airport Master Plan will be consistent with the Metropolitan Plan. The Air ort Master <br />. .. P <br />Plan implements Transportation Pohcles 8 through 15 ~n the TransPlan a~ad the Public <br />Facilities Plan. The consistency findings set forth in Exhibit A hereto are ado ted and <br />. p <br />incorporated herein as though fully set forth. <br />NQW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1.
