ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~1 ~ ~o a. <br />AN GRDINANCE AMENDING THE BETHEL-DANEBO <br />REFINEMENT PLAN MEDIA CRAFTS ASSGCIATES, RA <br />94-2~. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds as follows: <br />A. In october,1990, Media Craft Associates applied for two amendments to the <br />Bethel-Danebo Rebnement Plan. A diagram amendment was sought to change the <br />designation of Tax Lots 5101, 5102, and 8240 Assessor's Map 17-04-27-21~ as depicted on <br />the map attached as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference, from Low-Density <br />Residential to Mixed Use. A text amendment was requested to add language describing <br />the mixed uses appropriate far this area in the event that the diagram change was <br />adopted. . <br />B. The proposed plan amendment was classified by the Eugene Planning <br />Commission as a minor amendment on November 13, 1990. <br />C. on February 11, 1991 the Eugene Planning Commission denied the <br />requested plan amendments and adopted findings and conclusions. A timely appeal to the <br />City Council followed. <br />D. A hearing on the appeal was held by the City Council vn April 5, 1991, at <br />which time the Council considered the February 11, 1991 findings and conclusions of the <br />Eugene Planning Commission denying the requested amendments; the findings and <br />conclusions in support of the amendments set forth in the Planning & Development <br />Department staff notes and applicant's statement, attached as Exhibits B and C hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference; and the testimony presented. Based thereon, the <br />Council finds that the proposed amendments are consistent with relevant policies of the <br />Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan, and are consistent with other portions <br />of the Bethel-Danebo Refinement Plan. <br />NSW, THEREFGRE, <br />THE CITY GF EUGENE DGES (IRDAIN AS FaLL4WS: <br />Section 1.
