<br />~~.r FIT'p 'r-)'(') L', - <b L{ - 0"2- <br />,..,t.s., lOP! ... .~t ~,~ ~"'''<&_r.~" <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE RULE <br /> <br />ESTABLISHING STANDARDS FOR SIGNS ON PARKING FACILITIES <br /> <br />Pursuant to the authority of Section 5.540 of the Eugene <br /> <br />Code, 1971, and as the designee of the City Manager of the City <br /> <br /> <br />of Eugene under an Administrative Order issued June ~, , 1984, <br /> <br /> <br />the following rules establishing signing standards, variance <br /> <br />procedures, and procedures for modifying the standards are hereby <br /> <br />adopted. <br /> <br />1. Signs required by Section 5.540 of the Eugene Code, <br /> <br />1971 must comply with the size and location requirements set <br /> <br />forth therein, and the following: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Design. <br /> <br />Signs shall meet the minimum special <br /> <br />sign specifications for legends of type "c" as described <br /> <br />in City of Eugene Public Works Standard Sign Specifications. <br /> <br />The background of signs must be whi te, and the legend may <br /> <br />be in dark red, dark green, dark blue, or black. <br /> <br />B. Erection. <br /> <br />(1) A sign shall be erected so that the face <br /> <br />thereof is vertical. <br /> <br />(2) The sign shall be permanently affixed in <br /> <br />a manner and location that will leave it unobstructed <br /> <br />from view, readily noticeable, readable as required, <br /> <br />and at an elevation of between four (4) and nine (9) <br /> <br />feet from the bottom of the sign to the pavement or <br /> <br />ground. <br /> <br />1 <br />
