z l9-~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. .3 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS X27,215, Section 9.18 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance <br />with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the <br />public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specif i c affirmative findings contained i n the P1 anni ng Department staff notes <br />of April 3, 1919, and the Planning Commission minutes of April 3, 1979, for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone: <br />Tax Lat 599--Assessor's Map 17-04-35-4 3, as more particularly described <br />on the attached Exhibit "A", located west of Oak Patch Road on the north <br />side of West 15th Avenue: <br />Change of zone from RA Suburban Residential District to R-2 Limited <br />Multiple-Family Residential District, <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the zoning map and the zani ng ordinance schedule of d7 stri ct <br />changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to shave the foregoing <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of ~ <br />
