ORDINANCE NO. ~y <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE ELECT~ZCAL CODE; <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 5.075, 8.080, 8ROS5, 8.090, <br />8.095, $.105, S.11D, $.120, $.125, 8.130, AND <br />$.135 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE. DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 8.475 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended to provide: <br />8.075 Electrical Speci,alt~r _Co~e. Ali, e~.ectrical installations <br />- in the city shall conform to the standards and require- <br />ments of the State of Oregon Electrical Specialty Code, as <br />adopted by the State of Oregon Department of Commerce pursuant <br />to ORS 456.?50 to oR5 456.885, and as on file in triplicate in <br />the office of the finance officer . The State of Oregon Elec- <br />trical Specialty Code, together with sections 5.075 to 8.135 of <br />the Eugene Code, 1971, sha1,1, constitute the electrical specialty <br />code of the city. In sections 8.080 to 8.135, the phrase "this <br />code refers to this electrical specialty code. <br />Section___2. Section 8.080 of the Eugene Code, 1971,. is hereby <br />amended to provide: <br />8.0 S 0 Electrical Inspectors . The bu~.lding official shal l <br />designate personnel to be known as electrical inspectors <br />and shall be responsible for the enforcement of this code. <br />Section 3. Section 8.085 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended to provide: <br />8.085 Enforcement. In the event an electrical inspector shall, <br />have knowledge of a violation of this code by any person, <br />he may, if he deems~it advisable, stop all further work on the <br />installation and refuse to permit the electrical contractor or <br />other person to proceed further with the electrical installation <br />until the violation has been corrected. If the person is <br />aggrieved by the ruling he may appeal to the electrical board <br />from the ruling of the electrical, inspector. No further work <br />shall be done on the electrical installation or repair until <br />the appeal is heard by the electrical board. <br />Section 4. Section 5.090 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended to provide: <br />ordinance - l <br />
