'$~}-q,~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN <br />DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 5.813, 9.278 and <br />9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the <br />authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein to <br />change the zoning and sign district classification of property within the City <br />of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the P1 anni ng Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of classi- <br />fication is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the <br />change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classi- <br />fication of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adapts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes <br />of July 10, 1979 and the Planning Commission minutes of July 10, 1919 for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 and 8.625 of the Eugene Cade, <br />1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: <br />Tax Lots 400, 600, 601-~-Assessor's map 18-04-03-1 0, as more particularly <br />described on the attached Exhibit "A", located on the northeast corner of <br />the intersection of Bailey Hill Road and Westleigh Street: <br />Change of zone from RA Surburban Residential District to RP/SR Residential <br />Professional District with Site Review Procedures for Tax Lot 400 Assessor's <br />Map 18-04-03-1 0}, and a change of zone from RP/SR Residential Professional <br />District with Site Review Procedures to C-1/SR Neighborhood Commercial <br />District with Site Review Procedures for Tax Lot 600 and 601 Assessor's <br />Map 18-04-03-1 0}, said Site Review Procedures addressing concerns as set <br />forth in Exhibit "B" attached, and a change of sign district boundary <br />designation for Tax Lots 400, 600, 601, and 801 Assessor's Map 15-04-03-1 0} <br />from Residential to Integrated Shopping Center District. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 ~~ <br />
