ORDINANCE NO. ~~ An ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described alley, to-wit: That portion of the North-~Sauth Alley abutting Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, and that portion of the East-west Alley abutting Lots 4 and 5, all in Block 1G, Eugene Driginal Plat as platted and recorded in Book A, Page 2 of Lane County 4regan Plat Records, Lane County, oregon. PRQVIDED, howe~rer, that the owners of the above des- cribed property will pay the cost of relocating exist- ing utilities therein and will provide the necessary area for movement of vehicular traffic as required by the City Public works Department. ~AV 79--2 Fifth St. ~ THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FoLL4WS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Eugene herein.ini-~ tiates the vacation proceedings vn its own authority without peti- tion or consent of the property owners, except as provided by statute, of the above described alley. Section 2. A hearing sha~.l be held upon the proposal. to vacate the alley as herein provided, and the hearing shall be held on the 20th day of February, 19$4, at noQnPacific Standard Time of said date, at the Council, Chambers at City Hill, Eugene, Oregon, at which time all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with regard to the vacation, and at said time the Cauncil will provide for the vacation of the alley or deny such vacation, and in case the vacation is made, will provide and make provision for any damages sustained by local assessment. Section 3. The City Retarder is hereby directed to immediately publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper pub- lished in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, notice of the proposed vaca- ordinance - 1
