ORDINANCE NO. ~~ <br />An ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described <br />alley, to-wit: <br />That portion of the North-~Sauth Alley abutting Lots <br />1, 2, 3, and 4, and that portion of the East-west <br />Alley abutting Lots 4 and 5, all in Block 1G, Eugene <br />Driginal Plat as platted and recorded in Book A, <br />Page 2 of Lane County 4regan Plat Records, Lane County, <br />oregon. <br />PRQVIDED, howe~rer, that the owners of the above des- <br />cribed property will pay the cost of relocating exist- <br />ing utilities therein and will provide the necessary <br />area for movement of vehicular traffic as required <br />by the City Public works Department. ~AV 79--2 Fifth St. ~ <br />THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FoLL4WS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Eugene herein.ini-~ <br />tiates the vacation proceedings vn its own authority without peti- <br />tion or consent of the property owners, except as provided by statute, <br />of the above described alley. <br />Section 2. A hearing sha~.l be held upon the proposal. to vacate <br />the alley as herein provided, and the hearing shall be held on the <br />20th day of February, 19$4, at noQnPacific Standard Time of said date, <br />at the Council, Chambers at City Hill, Eugene, Oregon, at which time <br />all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with regard <br />to the vacation, and at said time the Cauncil will provide for the <br />vacation of the alley or deny such vacation, and in case the vacation <br />is made, will provide and make provision for any damages sustained <br />by local assessment. <br />Section 3. The City Retarder is hereby directed to immediately <br />publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper pub- <br />lished in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, notice of the proposed vaca- <br />ordinance - 1 <br />
