7 1 ~/'n~/ ORDINANCE N0. ~~ g AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP AND SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 8.813, 9.218 and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, tv change the zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of classi- fication is in conformance with the General Plan; there i s a publ is need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classi- f ication of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes of December 4, 1979, and the Planning Commission minutes of December 4, X979, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 and 8.625 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to ref 1 ect the fo 11 awi ng change of zone and sign district Tax Lot 1400--Assessor's Map 17-0 3 31-11, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A", located an the west side of Oak Street between 5th and 6th avenues: Change of zone from M-2 Industrial District to C-2 Community Commercial District, and a change in sign district from Industrial to Pedestrian-Auto ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2
