<br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT
<br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN
<br />DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
<br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
<br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 8.813, 9»27S and
<br />9.665 through 9.684 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the City Council has the
<br />authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to
<br />change the zoning and sign district classification of property within the City
<br />of Eugene;
<br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the material s trans-
<br />mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and
<br />this Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of classi-
<br />f i cati on i s i n conformance with the General Plan; there i s a publ i s need for the
<br />change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classi-
<br />f i c at i on of the property;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />Based upon the foregoing, the Cisty Council hereby adopts as its own
<br />the speci f i c affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department Staff
<br />Notes of November 6, 1979, and as modified i n the Planning Commission minutes of
<br />November 6, 1979; the Planning Commission minutes of November 6, 1979; and the
<br />minutes of the Joint Planning Commi ssionlCi ty Counci 1 Hearing of January 2S,
<br />1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and
<br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.275 and 5.625 of the Eugene Code,
<br />1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule
<br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby
<br />amended to ref 1 ect the fo 11 awl ng change of zone and sign district
<br />Tax Lots 1200, 1300, and 1400--Assessor's Map 11-04-25-4 4, and Tax Lots
<br />10100, 10800, 10900, 11000, 11200, 11300, 10400, 10300, 10200, 10100, 9200,
<br />9000, and 9100--Assessor's Map 11-03-30-3 3, and Tax Lots 2200, 2100, 2000,
<br />1500, 1600, 1500, and 1100--Assessor's Map 11-04-25-4 4, and Tax Lats 12300,
<br />12200, 12400, 12500, 11500, 11600, 11100, 11800, 13600, 13700, 13500, 13400,
<br />13300, 9300, and 9400--Assessor's Map 17-03-30-3 3.
<br />As more particularly described on attached Exhibit A, located between Van
<br />Buren and Monroe streets, south of 2nd Avenue, and north of 4th Avenue.
