ORDINANCE NO. l~~17 <br />An Ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described <br />street, to-wit: <br />That portion of 4li~re Street extend%ng 57 feet <br />north of west 5th Avenue as shown in the Plat of <br />Skinners Donation as platted and recorded in <br />Book A, Page 122, Lane County Oregon Plat Records, <br />Lane Count , ore on. ' <br />y g ~ 'Iax Lot A portion of 700 -- <br />Assessor'~s Map 17~-03~31~127. Lane County ~ Sv 79-7} <br />THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDA2N AS FOLLQWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Eugene herein ini~ <br />bates the vacation proceedings ~n its own authority without peti- <br />tion or consent of the property owners, except as provided by statute, <br />of the above described street. <br />Section 2_. A hearing shall be held upon th.e proposal to vacate <br />the street as herein provided, and th.e hearing shall be held on the <br />23rd day of April, 1980, at noon, Pacific Standard Time of said date, <br />at the Council Chambers at City Hall, Eugene, oregon, at whici~ time <br />all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with regard <br />to the vacation, and at said time the Council will provide for the <br />vacation of the street or deny such vacation, and in case the vaca- <br />tion is made, will provide and sake provision for any damages sus- <br />tained by local assessment. <br />Section 3. Th.e City recorder is hereby directed to immediately <br />publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper pub- <br />fished in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, notice of the proposed vaca- <br />tion. The notice shall give a description of the area to be vacated <br />as herein set out; state the date when this ordinance was passed, the <br />name of any petitioners peti,t.oni.ng for th.e vacation, and the date <br />when the petition, together with any objections or remonstrances which <br />Ordinance - l <br />
