'~,~~ <br />AN ORDINA~~CE ESTABLISHTi~G A COMPREHENSIVE EN~PLOY- <br />~iENT AND TRAINING ACT CETA} PRISE SPONSOR ADVISORY <br />COUNCIL; A CETA YdUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL; AND A CETA <br />PRIVATE INDUSTRY COUNCIL; ADDING SECTIONS 2.125, <br />2.127, 2.129, 2.131, 2.133, 2.135, 2.137, 2.,139, AND <br />2.141 TO THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AMENDING SECTION <br />2.013 OF THAT CODE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The following new sections are hereby added to the <br />Eugene Code, 1971, to provide: <br />2.125 CETA Prime S onsor Advisory Council ~- Created. Pursuant <br />to CETA rules and re~ulativns, a CETA prime sponsor ad- <br />visory council is established to serve as an advisory body to the <br />city council, and to assist the city in planning and providing <br />program oversight. <br />2.127 CETA Pxi~ne S onsor Advisor Council - Membershi , Term <br />~o~f O~f~~`l~ce . <br />~l} The CETA prime sponsor advisory council shall con- <br />sist of l5 members nominated by the mayor and appointed by the <br />council. The members shall include two city councilors, and a <br />person representing each o~ the following: <br />~~}_. A community-based organization; <br />~b}.. The Oregon State Employment .service; <br />~c} A veteran's organization; <br />~d}. Handicapped individuals; <br />~~}. Vocational education agencies; <br />~ f } Public assistance agencies; <br />fig} Field of education; <br />~.h} Education and training agencies and <br />lnStltutlonS; <br />~.1 ~ BuS1neS5 Sector ~ <br />~.j} Organized labor; <br />{.k} Employees not represented by organized <br />labor; <br />~l} The city's ~~uman Rights Council; <br />gym} The CETA Youth Advisory Council; and <br />fin} The CETA Private Industry Council. <br />t2} Except as provided herein for initial members, the <br />term of office for each member shall be for f oar years..
