sD~c SD-~ ORDINANCE N0. ~ $~O~ AiV ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION APdD AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE,. .OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTTY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the pravi lions of oRS 227.215 and Sections 8.813 through 8.$45 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and . respons ib i 1 i ty, subject to the 1 imi tat ions contained therein, to change the sign district classifications of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the .report of the. P1 anni ng Commi ssi an, the materials trans- m~tted therew~ th, and the evidence presented before the. Pi anning Commission and this Council, the request for sign district change of classification is in conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required by Section 8.830 of the Eugene Cade, 1971. N0~1, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts_as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of July 8, 1980, and the P1 anning Commission minutes of July 8, 1980, for the reasons set forth herein, and TUE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAT N AS FOLLDI~S Section 1. As provided by Section 5.525 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the sign di strict map and the sign code schedule of district. chanr~es are hereby amended to ~ reflect the following change of sign. district: Tax Lot 24D, 3DD, 400, and 5aD~--Assessor's Map 17-D3-34- 3 3, and Tax Lots 100 and 20D--Assessor's Map 1703-33-4 4 as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A located east of Interstate 5 on the south side of Franklin Boulevard, Sign district designation to Highway~0riented Sign District to extend 200 feet from the center line of .Franklin Boulevard . Section 2 . The Planning Director be and i s hereby authorized and directed to cause the sign district map and the schedule of sign district classification changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing change of c 1 ass i f i c ati on of area and to note thereon the ru 1 e with respect to building in the appropriate classification.
