ORDINANCE N~]. ~ 5748 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE SEWER SYSTEM; AMEND- <br />ING SECTIONS 6.070, 7,010, 7.4.5, ?..020, 7.025, <br />7.0 3 0 , ? : 0 3 5 , 7.0 4 0 OF THE E~TGENE CODE , 19 ? 1; <br />.ADDING A NE~7 SECTION 7.023 TQ THAT CODE; REPEAL- <br />ING SECTION 7.045 OF THAT CODE; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTzVE DATE. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Subsection ~l~ of Section 6.0?0 of the Eugene <br />Code, l9?l, is hereby amended to read and provide: <br />6.070 Sanitary Sewers and Sewage Dis psal Re ulations ~- Con- <br />nections Required. <br />~l} All structures within l60 feet of a public sanitary <br />sewer or of a public right-of--way containing a public sanitary <br />sewer discharging domestic sewage, industrial waste ar trade <br />waste shall be connected to the public sewer in a manner pres- <br />cribed by this code and shall discharge all sewage into said <br />system. <br />Section 2. Section 7.010 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by amending the definitions off' Duplex dwelling unit, Multiple <br />dwelling unit and Sewage system, and by inserting in alphabetical <br />order therein the following definitions far Dwelling unit, sewer ser- <br />vice, and sewer user: <br />7.010 <br />Duplex. ~A building designed and used exclusively <br />for occupancy by two families living independently of <br />each other. <br />Dwelling unit. As defined in section 9.254 of <br />th ~. s code . <br />N~ultiple dwe~.ling. A building designed for or <br />occupied by three or more families living independently <br />of each other. <br />Sewerage system. The equipment, pipe line system <br />and facilities as are needed far and are pertinent to <br />the disposal of sewage and water, and sewage treatment <br />plant or separate pipe limes for storm, surface and <br />subsurface water. <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
