~ Rn_ aR ORDINANCE N0. ~$ 1 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY DF EUGENE FINDS THAT; Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.278, and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of class ifscation is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the c l as s i f~ c at i on of the property; N41~, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of October 7, 1950, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 7, 1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Sections 9.278 and 8.625 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map, the ~s i gn district map, and the zoning ordinance sched ul e of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: Tax Lot 500--Assessor's Map 17-04-35-4 2, as more particularly des- cribed an the attached Exhibit A, located south of west 11th Avenue on the west side of Oak Patch Road. Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to C-lISR Neighbor- hood Commercial District with Site Review procedures, said Site Review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in the attached Exhibit B, and a change of sign district from Industrial District to Outlying Commercial District.
