~ Rn_ aR <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~$ 1 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN <br />DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY DF EUGENE FINDS THAT; <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.278, and <br />9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the <br />zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this City Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of <br />class ifscation is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need <br />for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the <br />c l as s i f~ c at i on of the property; <br />N41~, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own <br />the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff <br />notes of October 7, 1950, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 7, <br />1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Sections 9.278 and 8.625 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, the zoning map, the ~s i gn district map, and the zoning ordinance sched ul e <br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: <br />Tax Lot 500--Assessor's Map 17-04-35-4 2, as more particularly des- <br />cribed an the attached Exhibit A, located south of west 11th Avenue on <br />the west side of Oak Patch Road. <br />Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to C-lISR Neighbor- <br />hood Commercial District with Site Review procedures, said Site <br />Review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in the attached <br />Exhibit B, and a change of sign district from Industrial District to <br />Outlying Commercial District. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
