For each ward or EWEB Board office, the <br />candidate who receives more than 50 percent of the total vote will have his or her name <br />placed on the November ballot. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the <br />vote in the May primary, the names of the two candidates receiving the most votes will <br />be placed on the November ballot. <br /> <br />Completed nominating petitions for the following offices will be accepted by the City Recorder’s Office until 5 p.m. <br />on March 4, 2010: <br /> <br /> <br />Eugene City Councilor – Ward 3 <br /> Eugene City Councilor - Ward 4 <br /> Eugene City Councilor - Ward 5 <br /> Eugene City Councilor - Ward 6 <br /> EWEB Commissioner - Wards 4 and 5 <br /> EWEB Commissioner - At-Large <br /> <br />An information packet for prospective candidates is available on the City Recorder’s Office web page at <br />www.eugene-or.gov/elections. Speed Dating, for adults age 50 and older, confirms that it’s never too <br />late to find companionship. At this event on February 9, 6 - 8 p.m. at Campbell <br />Center, attendees can socialize with other older adults who want to connect with <br />someone special.
