That the common council deems it necessary- for the purpose of adding to the lighting system of the Cite, for the betterment of the Power Plant, for laying mains from the pumping stations to the reservoirs and for extensions and general improvement of the water mains, and for the Maur - rose of buying additional pum7os for the City, to issue '57 ,000 phis value of the LiPbt, Po-= and ate bonds of the City, . The said bonds shall be iri denomination of One Thouk And dollars each, shall be dated the 1st December, 1911, and shall be payable on the lst December, 1926, with interest in the meantime at the rate of 5 1/2 per cent per annum, payable semi - annually; both principal and interest shall be payable in gold coin of the United States of America of the present standard of weight and fineness at the State Viscal Agenc�7 for the State of Oregon in the State and Cite of !4e- York., raid borl aw shall be issued in substantially the fol-- lowir_ form State of Oregon City of Eup -ene Light, Power and Water Bond No. 1,000.
