Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> ~This being the date set for receiving blds for the purchase of $175,000,00 <br />Park and Terminal Bonds, bids were opened for such sale and the same referred to <br />the ~lnance Co,mnlttee for report; such co,mnittee report~i and offered the follow- <br />lng resolution; '- ' <br /> R ~S'O LU T I 0 ~. <br /> Wherea~, ~her~ ha3 bee~ ~ubml~ t~ ~he ~i~ ~f ~gene, ~lds upon ~he ~i~y <br />of ~lgene $175,000.~ issue of Park and Terminal bonds, and <br /> <br /> Whereas, None oF said bids were satisfactory bids, and none conformed to the <br />terms exacted by the City of Eugene, <br /> <br /> Be It Resolved that all bids, be and them are hereby re.letted, and <br /> <br /> Be It ~urthe~' Resolved, that the bonds be sold to the Lumbermans Trust <br /> Oompar~ and Plerce,~alrand Co., of Portl~d' Oregon, at Par and ao,~ru~ interest, <br /> plus-a premium,of.five dollars per thous~d, at private sale, pursuam~ to the re- <br /> oo~emdatiom of the ~ln~ee Co~tttee. 0n mo~ion said resolution was um~lmously <br /> adopted. . . <br /> <br /> A petition was received to open Monroe Street from its present northerly <br /> terminus north e dist~oe of 57 feet more or less to connect with Clark St. Said <br /> matter was referred to the Street Co~ittee. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to pave 2~rd Avenue from its intersection '~lth <br /> Spring Avenue and Short'Street to Alder Street. Said matter was referred to the <br /> <br /> A petition w~ reoeiv~ to ~ve 7$h Avenue fr~ High Street e~t to the <br />- end of said Avenue. Such ~ e~ltlom was referred to the Street Co~lttee. <br /> <br /> A petition w~m re~e~v~ to ~r~e and '~ra¢~l the ~l~ey ~een 7th~ and 8th <br /> Avenue from Llnco~ to Lawrence Street. Such petition w~ referral to the Street <br /> Uou~nittee, which Committee reco~nended the petition be granted. On motion such <br /> Peoo~endatlo~ was approved. <br /> <br /> A petition was recelv~ from F.L. Ch~bers askl~ permission to re-p~$ce the <br /> iron roof on the warehouse at 747 Olive St. with a new irog roof. Wain to cpnduot a rooming hous? <br />at 70 east 9th Ave. and also to Mrs Hattie Hasler to conduct a rooming house at <br />the Lowell HOtel On West 10th Ave. 0n motion such applications were granted. <br /> <br /> A petition was~ received from E.B.Parks, Grace S, Parks, ~.0.
