Westside Neighborhood Plan RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE WESTSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that; The Westside Neighborhood Quality Project, a neighborhood group chartered by the City Council, developed a series of goals and poli- cicg to guide the future development of their neighborhood and re- quested city approval of their plan. The planning department worked with the Westside Neighborhood Quality Project to further refine these goals and policies and identify possible implementation measures, identified as recommendations in the plan, and the document was widely distributed in the neighborhood area by the neighborhood group. Consensus was reached between the planning staff and the neighborhood group, and the Westside Neighborhood Quality Project adopted the Westside Neighborhood Plan on July 12, 1977. The Eugene Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the Westside Neighborhood Plan on August 2,.1977, considered amendments thereto, and took action on'August 8 1977, to transmit the Plan as amended to the City Council with the recommendation that it be adopted. A public hearing on Westside Neighborhood Plan has been held by the City Council, and the recommendations of the Planning Commission, the Westside Neighborhood Quality Project, and members of the public who wished to be heard have been considered. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows: Section 1 . The goa and poligte_s_ set forth in the Westside Neighborhood - Plan are 7iereby ad�eted as a refinement of the Eugene- - Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan for the Westside Neighbor- hood, which is bounded by 7th Avenue on the north, 13th Avenue on' the south, Washington Street on the east, and Chambers Street on the west, and shall be used in making land -use and other decisions in that area. , Section 2 . The recommendations set forth in the Westside Neigh- borhood Plan are hereby recognized as potential means of reaching or implementing adopted goals and policies, but are not adopted as city policy. Section 3 . The City Council hereby adopts as its findings the supporting text, maps, graphs, and tables set forth in the Westside Neighborhood Flan and its appendix, and the Official Report of the Eugene Planning Commission dated August 8, 1977, pertaining to the Westside Neighborhood Plan.
