MINUTES <br />Eugene City Council <br />Bascom/Tykeson Room, Eugene Public Library <br />100 W. 10 Avenue — Eugene, Oregon <br />October 22, 2012 <br />5:30 pm <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: George Brown, Pat Farr, Betty Taylor, Mike Clark, George Poling, <br />Alan Zelenka, Andrea Ortiz, Chris Pryor <br />Her Honor Mayor Kitty Piercy called the October 22, 2012, Work Session of the Eugene City Council to <br />order and gave thanks to everyone involved in the success of the Eugene @150 Celebration. <br />A. COMMITTEE REPORTS AND ITEMS OF INTEREST FROM MAYOR, CITY COUNCIL, <br />AND CITY MANAGER <br />Councilors shared updates from each of their committees. The City Manager was asked to pull together a <br />Committee on Downtown Public Safety. He asked for names or suggestions from the Mayor and <br />councilors. <br />B. URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY EXECUTIVE SESSION: Pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(e) <br />Mayor Piercy adjourned the work session meeting of Eugene City Council and convened the Urban <br />Renewal Agency for an executive session. <br />Mayor Piercy adjourned the Urban Renewal Agency and reconvened the Eugene City Council. <br />C. WORK SESSION: City Hall Update <br />Staff from Central Services presented a Power Point presentation of the work done by the Subcommittee <br />to Discuss City Hall Options. Councilors expressed comments, questions, concerns and a sense of <br />priority for information about a future City Hall. Kristie Hammitt, Larry Hill and Jason Dedrick each <br />provided information to the Mayor and Council about the work they've done to -date, site options, next <br />steps and funding.
