<br />considered for MUPTE, the council passed a motion to direct staff to not spend any <br />more time on the MUPTE in the West University Neighborhood. <br /> <br /> The council passed a motion to direct staff to not spend any more time on the MUPTE <br /> <br />in the West University Neighborhood. <br /> <br />2012 – The council approved three MUPTE projects: Park Place (Master <br /> <br />Development) Broadway Lofts (Master Development), and 13 and Olive (Capstone). <br />th <br /> <br />On January 30, 2013, the council approved a motion to direct the City Manager to prepare and <br />schedule a public hearing on an ordinance suspending the MUPTE program. A public hearing <br />on the proposed ordinance was held on February 25, 2013. <br /> <br />The council has expressed an interest in suspending the MUPTE program in order to conduct a <br />detailed evaluation prior to accepting new applications. The program evaluation will likely <br />include a review of the existing public benefit scoring system and consideration of other <br />elements such as those recently adopted in Portland’s Multi-Unit Limited Tax Exemption <br />(MULTE) program. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL OPTIONS <br />1. Approve the ordinance, and evaluate the MUPTE program to determine if changes should be <br />made. <br />2. Approve the ordinance with specific modifications as determined by the council, and evaluate <br />the MUPTE program to determine if changes should be made. <br />3.
