pp <br />~O <br />ORDINANCE N0. 8631 <br />' An Ordinance prohibiting the driving of any vehicle upon any of the streets <br />!or alleys of the City of Eugene or by any person who is a habitual user of narcotic <br />drugs, or any person who is intoxicated or under the influence of intoxicating <br />;liquor or narcotic drugs. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. It shall be unlawful in the City of Eugene for any person who <br />!is a habitual user of narcotic drugs or any person who is intoxicated or under <br />Ithe influence of intoxicating liquor or narcotic drugs to drive any vehicle upon <br />jany highway, street or thoroughfare within the City of Eugene. <br />Section 2. Ever-y person who is convicted of a violation of this ordinance <br />in the Recorder-'s Court shall be subject to a fine not exceeding X200.00 and be <br />impr~s~nad in the municipal jail for one day for each X2.00 of the fine unpaid, <br />and shall be liable for the costs of the prosecution. <br />Passed by the Common Council <br />this 8th day of January 1940 <br />/s/ C.
