<br />An Ordinance vacating the following described area, to--rrit:
<br />Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2
<br />Rugh's Second Addition to the City of Eugene, and
<br />thence South along the West Side of Ramey Street to
<br />the Southeast Corner of Lot 5, said Block, thence
<br />East 10 feet, thence North to a point 10 feet East
<br />of the place of beginning and thence West to beginning;
<br />being the Vilest 10 feet of Ramey Street fronting on
<br />Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 2, Rugh's Second Addition
<br />~to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon
<br />V"TEREAS, heretofore and on the 8th day of April, 1940 the Common Council
<br />~f the City of Eugene passed an Ordinance setting a hearing for the I3th day of May,
<br />L94O in the Council Chambers, at which time and place protests and remonstrances
<br />could be heard as to the vacation of the following premises, to-wit:
<br />I;' Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2,
<br />'~ Rugh's Second Addition to the City of Eugene, and thence
<br />~I South along the West Side of Ramey Street to the South-
<br />, ~ east corner of Lot 5, said Block, thence East 10 feet, thence
<br />North to a point 1'o feet East of the place of beginning
<br />and thence V47est to beginning; being the West 10 feet of
<br />~ Ramey Street fronting on Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 2,
<br />Rugh's Second Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon
<br />and,

<br />WHEREAS, a hearing was held pursuant to said Ordinance in the Council`Chambe
<br />~n the City Hall in the City of Eugene on Monday, the 13th day of May, 1940 at 7:30
<br />o'clock p.m. and at said time the Council heard all objections, and
<br />ij WHEREAS, all persons owning property abutting upon said premises proposed
<br />,to be vacated have consented to said vacation and have applied for said vacation, it
<br />being the purpose of said vacation to readjust Ramey Street in accordance with the
<br />original plan, now therefor,
<br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS;
<br />Section 1. The Common Council of the City of Eugene finds that due and
<br />egal notice of said hearing was published and posted as required by law; that no
<br />slid objection has been made at said hearing, or filed; that the consent of the
<br />wners of the abutting property, properly acknowledged, has been filed in`said
<br />roceeding; and that the public interest will not be prejudiced by the vacation of
<br />aid premises.
<br />Section 2. That said hearing was held on the 13th day of May, 1940 at 7:30
<br />o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon
<br />and that all matters necessary to be done have 33een completed.
<br />Section 3. That the following described area, to-wit:
<br />Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2,
<br />Rugh's Second Addition to the City of Eugene, and
<br />thence South along the V~dest Side of- Ramey Street to
<br />~:~~ the Southeast Corner of Lot 5, said Block, thence
<br />East 10 feet, thence North to a point 10 feet East
<br />of the place of beginning and thence West to beginning;
<br />being the 4"Jest 10 Peet of Ramey Street fronting on
<br />Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 2, Rugh's Second Addition
<br />to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
<br />e and the same is hereby vacated and the area so vacated, shall revert to the
<br />butting property pursuant to the statutes of the State of Oregon.
<br />Section 4. The Recorder be and he is hereby directed to file a certified
<br />py of this Ordinance with the Recorder of Lane County, Oregon, together with a map
<br />plat of said property, and that a certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed
<br />th the County Assessor and another certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed
<br />th the County Surveyor.
