z (~9-2~) <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~.5'~O <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN <br />' DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 8.813, 9,278 and 9.665 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and <br />responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the <br />zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning~Commissian, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this Council, the request far zone change and sign district change of classi- <br />fication is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the <br />change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classi- <br />f i c at i o n of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the ~~foregoinq, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Nates <br />of November 6, 1979, and the Pl anninq Commission minutes of November 6, 1979, <br />for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DDES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 and 8,625 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district:. <br />Port ion of Tax Lots 5400 and 5700--Assessor's Map 17-04-25-1 3, <br />as mare part i cu 1 ar 1 y described on the attached Exhibit "A" , <br />located west of Pvlk Avenue between Cross Street and Bailey <br />Street. <br />Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to RA Outer <br />Residential District and change of Sign District from Outlying <br />Commercial District to Residential District. <br />ORDINANCE-wPage 1 of 2 <br />
