z (~9-2~) ORDINANCE N0. ~~~.5'~O AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN ' DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 8.813, 9,278 and 9.665 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning~Commissian, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council, the request far zone change and sign district change of classi- fication is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classi- f i c at i o n of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the ~~foregoinq, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Nates of November 6, 1979, and the Pl anninq Commission minutes of November 6, 1979, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DDES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 and 8,625 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district:. Port ion of Tax Lots 5400 and 5700--Assessor's Map 17-04-25-1 3, as mare part i cu 1 ar 1 y described on the attached Exhibit "A" , located west of Pvlk Avenue between Cross Street and Bailey Street. Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to RA Outer Residential District and change of Sign District from Outlying Commercial District to Residential District. ORDINANCE-wPage 1 of 2
