<br />The regular meeting, of the Common Council of Eugene, held May 13, 1946
<br />at 7:30 P.M. The meeting was called to order by his Honor, Mayor Earl McNutt.
<br />Councilmen present at rollcall were - Koppe, Hawn, Davis, Crumbaker, Bailey,
<br />Johnson and Allen.

<br />Upon motion the minutes of the last regular meeting held April 8, 1946

<br />The City Manager reported to the Council that this' was the date set for
<br />the opening of bids for the construction of a new municipal swimming pool and for
<br />certain street. impr:,ovements, to-wit.:.
<br />
<br />Improvement of Alder Street between 25th and 27th Avenues East including
<br />alleys; the alley between 7th and 8th from Charnel ton to Olive and improvement of
<br />Taylor Street between 8th..and. :j3roadway.
<br />
<br />1 In the matter of bids on the swimming pool, the manager reported receipt
<br />of No_ bids.
<br />
<br />It was- moved by Crumbaker, s.econded, by Hawn that the City Manager b.e authorized to
<br />consult with the City Attorney on legality of City using available swimming pool
<br />funds t.o pur.chase nec,e.s.sary. ,ma terials. for pool, construction. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />In the matter of the improvement of Alder Street from 25th to 27th
<br />2 Avenues East, includ.ing. alleys, the Manager reported the receipt of three (3) bids.
