ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58 -14 -07
of the
Executive Director of the Public Works Department
City of Eugene, Oregon
that:
DELEGATING TO THE AIRPORT DIRECTOR THE AUTHORITY TO
ISSUE PARKING CITATIONS AT THE EUGENE AIRPORT.
The Executive Manager of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene finds
A. Under the provisions of Chapter IV, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of 2002,
the City Manager is designated as the administrative head of the City, specifically authorized to
appoint and remove all employees (except as otherwise provided in the Charter), organize, and,
as deemed necessary, disband and reorganize various City departments, and to enforce all
ordinances of the City.
B. Pursuant to that authority, my appointment as Executive Manager of the City's
Public Works Department has most recently been affirmed by the City Manager's Administrative
Order No. 21- 13 -01. In such capacity, I have the responsibility for supervision of the Public
Works Department and its employees.
C. On May 19, 2014, the City Manager issued Administrative Order No. 21 -14 -01
granting the Public Works Executive Director authority to issue parking citations at the Eugene
Airport and to subdelegate that duty to the Airport Director.
D. It would be most efficient and in the public interest to delegate to the Airport
Director the authority to issue parking citations at the Eugene Airport.
On the basis of these findings, I order that:
1. The Airport Director is granted authority to issue parking citations at the Eugene
Airport.
2. The Airport Director may in turn subdelegate the duties or responsibilities
delegated in this Order to such person or persons qualified to perform the delegated duties.
Dated and effective this 21 day of 2014.
Kurt A.
