<br />ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-00-20 <br />of the <br />Executive Director (AIC) <br />of the <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />Delegating Authority to Administer the City's Stormwater, Erosion Prevention, <br />and Open Waterway Programs of Sections 6.600 to 6.610, 6.625 to 6.645, and <br />6.650 to 6.670 of the Eugene Code, 1971 and Rules Issued Thereunder to the <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br />The Executive Director (AIC) of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene <br />finds that: <br /> <br />A. By Administrative Order No. 53-96-09 dated July 2, 1996, authority to perform the <br />duties and responsibilities of the City Manager under Chapter 6 of the Eugene Code, 1971, was <br />delegated jointly to the Executive Directors of the City's Planning & Development Department and <br />Public Works Department. <br /> <br />B. The activities to which the stormwater, erosion prevention, and open waterway <br />programs of Sections 6.600 to 6.610, 6.625 to 6.645, and 6.650 to 6.670 of the Eugene Code, 1971 <br />apply are supervised by the City Engineer and it would be more efficient and in the public interest <br />to authorize the City Engineer of the Public Works Department to perform the delegated duties with <br />respect to those programs. <br /> <br />Now, therefore, based on the above findings, which are hereby adopted, <br /> <br />The Executive Director (AIC) of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene <br />Orders that: <br /> <br />1. The duties, responsibilities and authority delegated by the City Manager jointly to the <br />Executive Directors of the City's Planning & Development Department and Public Works <br />Department to perform the duties and responsibilities of the City Manager in administering the <br />provisions of Chapter 6 of the Eugene Code, 1971, are hereby delegated to the City Engineer with <br />respect to the City's stormwater, erosion prevention, and open waterway programs of Sections 6.600 <br />to 6.610, 6.625 to 6.645, and 6.650 to 6.670 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and any Rules issued <br />thereunder. <br /> <br />2. Upon finding it would be more efficient and in the public interest to do so, the City <br />Engineer is specifically authorized to in turn delegate any of the duties or responsibilities delegated <br />herein to such person or persons qualified to perform the delegated duties. <br /> <br />3.
