<br />ORDINANCE NO. 20202 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING TERMS FOR CITY <br />BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS, <br />AND AMENDING SECTION 2.013 OF THE EUGENE CODE, <br />1971. <br /> <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Historic Review Board provisions in Subsection (1), and Subsections (2)(b), <br /> <br />(9) and (11) of Section 2.013 of the Eugene Code, 1971, are amended to provide: <br /> <br />2.013 City Council- Boards. Commissions and Committees. <br />(1) Except for boards, commissions or committees established pursuant to <br />ordinance, state statute, or intergovernmental agreement, the following are the presently constituted <br />boards, commissions and committees of the city with the number of members and names of the <br />appointive authority indicated thereafter, together with the term and the authority for such board, <br />commission or committee: <br /> <br />Planning Commission - Standing Committee: <br />Historic Review Board: <br />No. of Members: <br /> <br />Authority: <br /> <br />1 Planning Commissioner <br />6 Citizens <br />Mayor and Planning Commission President <br />nominate, Council appoints <br />Planning Commissioner during his or her term <br />or as determined by Planning Commission <br />President <br />4 years citizen members <br />EC 2.355 <br /> <br />Appointment Process: <br /> <br />Term: <br /> <br />(2) In addition to the boards and commissions in subsection (1) above: <br />(a) The council may create council standing or ad hoc committees to <br />advise the council on the creation of policy and develop recommendations for council <br />direction or action; and, <br />(b) The city manager or designee may create standing or ad hoc <br />departmental advisory committees to make recommendations to city staff and <br />departments concerning the implementation of city policy. <br />At the time an ad hoc or standing committee is created, the committee's charge or task shall be <br />specified. At the time an ad hoc committee is created, the councilor city manager also shall specify <br />a specific date for completion of the work, and the committee shall cease to exist upon completion. <br /> <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
