M. on June 13, 1928, there being present Mayor ).. L. W il.l:B.ms en , <br />and allmembers of the Council except Largo and Hugh, who were absent. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Minutes of the mee tings of .May 14:, 1928, -and May 28, 1928, approved. <br /> <br />Judge Harris appeared on behalf of certain petitioners from the East end <br />of the City, objecting to a certain Auto c.amp being constructed by Albert D,. Jones, <br />in ,Blocks 32 and 34, of Fairmount, claimir.lg that such camp will be detrimental to <br />property vaues in that locality, and also insanitary and unsightly. Said petition- <br />ers asked that a zoning ordinanee be passed covering suchsituatLon, and on <br />motion, the Ci tjr Attorney was directed to :prepare an o.rdinaflce.nand present it at the <br />next meeting of the Council, forbidding Au.to camps'withiil one and one-half miles <br />from the intersection of University Street and 13th Avenue. <br /> <br />As per the call, ibds were opened to improve Victoria Boulevard from <br />Maple Street to the City limits and Rostien Boulevard from Victoria Boulevard to the <br />City limits by paving the same, which bids were as follows: <br /> <br />Stien Bros. <br />Guy F. :Pyle <br />Hargreaves & Lindsay <br />Oscar S.g.ow <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />$16,665.29 <br />17,248.90 <br />16,705.29 <br />17,621.55 <br /> <br />Said bids were referred to the Street Committee for report and such <br />Committee recommended the bid of Stien Bro~. at $16,665.29 be accepted. On motion, <br />such report was adopted and the Mayor and Recorder were directed to enter into a <br />, contract with su~h s~ccessful bidder for the performance of such work. <br /> <br />As per the call, bids were opened to improve 12th Avenue from Olive Street <br />!' to Charnel ton Stree t, by paving the same, which bids were as follows: <br /> <br />.' On motion, such <br />report was adopted and the Mayor and Redorder were directed to enter into a contract <br />wi th such suacessful bidder for the performance of such work. <br /> <br />As per the call, bids were opened to improve 7th Avenue from Blair Boule- <br />vard to Polk Street, by paving the same, which bids were as follows: <br /> <br />Hargreaves & Lindsay <br />K.
