Charles Sigman, representing the Insurance Agencies of Eugene, outlined th <br />plan of a Safet;y- Se~vice Bulletin Calflpaign. It was assured of the coope~ation of <br />the Council. <br /> <br />IvI~. RaymoTIli Torry presented a petition for an inspection and su~vey of the <br />Willamette St~eet entrance to 'the alley on the West side of Willamette St~eet, <br />between 11th ani 13th Avenues, with a view of widening said entrance for bette~ <br />II t:raffic condi tions a t this point. On <br />motion the City Attorney was directed to rep~esent the City at any hearing which <br />may be held for such purpose. <br /> <br />The Finance Committee, by Chai~man Mr. Hende~shott, stated that there has been <br />purchased by thl9 Committe~ for the General Sinking Fund, $9500.00 of 90nds consist- <br />ing of $1000.00 Refunding Warrant Bond, bought from Blyth & Company; ~1000.00 City <br />Hail Bond, bOU~lt from Baker, Fordyce, and Harpham; and $7500.00 Series A-C <br />Improvement Bonds, bought f~om Hess, T~ipp, and Butchart~ IvIotion was made and sec- <br />onded ~atifying and confirming the purchase of said bonds, and the ayes and nays <br />were called. Councilmen voting aye,.six, nay, none, absent Zumwalt and Scobert. <br /> <br />Chairman Hendershott also recommended the,payment of the monthly bills, and <br />motion was made and seconded that wa~rants be drawn for the same.
